IlloFriday - Robot

I wasn't even going to do this week's topic because my allergies are driving me insane and on top of that I have strep throat. So with Coronation Street on hiatus during hockey playoffs I exhausted other TV possibilities pretty quickly and turned to drawing while I recover. This is my personal robot racing to me with more kleenex and medicine on top on the health chart thingie that came with my prescription!

The tin can as a head, and the background image of a typed document (doctor's letter?) are very nice touches.

First of all - get well soon! I guess one good thing about being sick is the inspiration it gave you for this fun illustration! Using the prescription literature as a background not only adds great visual interest, it's a cool idea. I also love that the robot's wheel is an eight ball! Funny! And...being sick certainly hasn't impaired your artistic skill:> Well done!

So clever - I like the personal side to it. Nice use of the prescription literature. I like the tin can head, the spring/wrench neck, and the 8-ball wheel. Great work!

I'm glad that you have someone (something) around to help you get better! The pollen counts insane this year. Ask the robot what the eight-ball says about you getting better soon!

I love everything about this robot and super background. He's eager to please and concerned about your wellness.
Hope your feeling better soon.

I like "lo-tech" robots like this. I don't think I could handle a robot that was any more complicated than my toaster. Take it easy, and be careful not to cut your finger on his "lid" when you reach for that throat spray!

Allergies are trying to ruin my life too, but you have strep too? Man, double misery! How unfair. I hope you get better soon.
At least you've got a cool helpful robot. I love the textures, especially on his round body.

Well done. It is no fun when when Coronation street is interrupted mixed with the sneezes. Get well soon.
